Week 3 Preview

Los Angeles Stars (2-0) @ Boston Dragons (1-1)
Until somebody can stop star rookie running back Phillip Lindsay, we’re going to assume nobody can stop him.
Pick: Los Angeles Stars

San Antonio Marshalls (2-0) @ Philadelphia Bulldogs (1-1)
The Marshalls defensive gameplan was incredible shutting down Dallas last week. Philadelphia has a great running back, but they might not have the passing game to compete in this one if they get down against the Marshalls defense.
Pick: San Antonio Marshalls

Pittsburgh Forge (2-0) @ Washington Wave (1-1)
Washington might be trying out some new stuff on offense, but Pittsburgh got their talent in a rhythm last week and will be ready to go again against the Wave.
Pick: Pittsburgh Forge

Utah Raptors (0-2) @ Carolina Generals (1-1)
Utah’s offense has been one of the most miserable ones early this year. The Generals have a defense that might make things impossible for them.
Pick: Carolina Generals

Virginia Breakers (0-2) @ Miami Mustangs (0-2)
Unless there is shocking tie, we will definitely see one of these expansion teams get their first victory. Miami’s at home and have the much better quarterback.
Pick: Miami Mustangs

New Orleans Nightmare (1-1) @ Birmingham Predators(2-0)
We know New Orleans is capable of going on an epic run, but the Predators are getting it done right now. Even though last week was a defensive battle, that actually is more impressive because they are proven that they can win in multiple ways.
Pick: Birmingham Predators

Orlando Rockets (1-1) @ Michigan Stags (2-0)
The Rockets are always a threat, but after scoring only 10 points last week, the hungry Stags team looking to make a statement against the defending champions might be too much.
Pick: Michigan Stags

Minnesota Freeze (0-2) @ Nashville Renegades (1-1)
Minnesota is improved but still have some depth problems and some holes on their team. It should be a close game, but the Renegades put together a very good gameplan last week to fix some of their biggest issues and are coming off a big win.
Pick: Nashville Renegades

Louisville Cougars (1-1) @ Iowa Threshers (1-1)
This game should be a very, very competitive one, but Iowa has the edge at home. This one really is a toss up otherwise with the Cougars dominant front-seven against a very tough, grinding Threshers offense.
Pick: Louisville Cougars

Columbus Explorers (1-1) @ St. Louis Stallions (1-1)
St. Louis has way more firepower on offense than the Columbus Explorers have.
Pick: St. Louis Stallions

Mississippi Cottonmouths (1-1) @ Omaha Express (2-0)
Ricky Ray is going to be a threat to the Express, but Omaha is going to be able to grind down the field with their running game, keeping Ray off the field.
Pick: Omaha Express

Atlanta Firebirds (0-2) @ Oklahoma Roughnecks (0-2)
The Firebirds need this win and have way too much talent on their team to fall to an expansion Roughnecks team.
Pick: Atlanta Firebirds

Dallas Six-Shooters (1-1) @ Houston Wranglers (1-1) – At Rice Stadium in Houston, TX
Both teams are coming off very disappointing games and will be looking for a comeback wins. It should be pretty close, actually, but it is hard to bet against Ricky Ray in these sort of games.
Pick: Dallas Six-Shooters

Oakland Odyssey (0-2) @ San Diego Diablos (2-0)
The Diablos are on fire and a stunning 3-0 start seems likely against an Odyssey team that already feels like this season is long lost.
Pick: San Diego Diablos

Seattle Orcas (1-1)@ New York Marauders (1-1)
Both teams are dealing with their own problems and haven’t been as dominant as expected to start the year, but Seattle’s offense might be in a little worse of a situation because of their quarterback controversy, despite having football’s first 3,000 yard rusher on their team running well.
Pick: New York Marauders
