The Youngstown Steel swept Fox Valley this season, beating them for the 2nd time.

Dylan Hecker got the Steel train moving in the 2nd quarter with a 1 yard run with 11:19 left. Daniel Martinez knocked a 44 yard field goal through the uprights to give the Steel a 9-3 lead at halftime.

Youngstown never looked back once Christian Hackenberg tossed the pigskin 19 yards to Nelson Spruce early in the 3rd quarter. The Steel would then go on to score two more times, a Hackenberg strike to to Lamar Jordan from 14 yards out and another TD run by Hecker, this time from 6 yards out.

Hecker had 3 teammates on Fox Valley and got the best of them.

Hackenberg had a dominate game throwing for 342 yards, 2 touchdowns, and had a QB rating of 113.4. Spruce also tore it up once again this season, this time going for 187 yards and a touchdown. David Steinmetz led the offensive line having another 0 sack game.

The defense did not have any mind blowing plays or numbers, just a solid game preventing the Fighting Squirrels from scoring more than 13 points. Jason Neill led the team in tackles with 9 and also added 6 stuffs. Neill leads the league in stuff yards. Weston Steelhammer added 3 pass deflections, making that a team high 7 on the season.

The Youngstown Steel will be traveling to Halifax in Week 14.
